Bare Minimum or Beyond?
Some of us just can’t do “bare minimum” even when we try...
Have you ever been given a responsibility and thought to yourself, “I’ll just do the barest minimum” only to step into the role and end up going above and beyond?
Some people are so used to mediocrity that whatever they do, they do just for the sake of doing. But then there are some of us who simply can’t help it. How can I sit in a room and not share my ideas?
I’ll be honest, many times I’ve tried to hold back, to tie my tongue in conversations where I felt my ideas didn’t really matter. And yet, I failed woefully at it.
Some people know how to dim their light intentionally. But others? They just can’t. It’s not arrogance, it’s not show-off, it’s simply that their being rejects the bare minimum.
They will always find a way to project excellence, no matter how raw or simple the task given to them.
So today, as we evaluate ourselves, I ask you: on which side will you be found?
